Welsh Company Host Dress Down and Fundraising Day in support of Red Nose Day
National conveyancing specialists, Convey Law held a monthly charity dress down day with a difference on Friday. All 80 staff dressed in their finest red to support both Comic Relief and the Welsh rugby team as they prepared for their 6 Nations match with England.
The conveyancing company, based in Newport, South Wales, put on several fundraising activities for their staff throughout the day which raised a combined total of £1036.87; bettering their target of £700.00.
The fundraising activities included a ‘Convey Law Cake-Off’ which was won by Ceri Le Neveu for her excellent Comic Relief themed sponge cake which fetched a whopping £45.00 at auction.
Continuing the rugby theme Convey Law also hosted their own version of the popular Scrum V challenge “Pass the Ball through Brian Moore’s Big Mouth Challenge’ where staff could test their passing accuracy. Only this time, the unlucky target was their Managing Director Lloyd Davies.
Two members of staff Tom Herbert and Daniel Laugharne even went as far as to dress as a pair of very fetching Welsh ladies for the day, all in the name of the cause – much to the delight and amusement of their colleagues.
Many of the staff donated a wonderful array of raffle prizes including; a home made beauty kit, a bottle of champagne and free two course meals at a Cardiff restaurant. In total, the raffle contributed £218.00 to the final amount raised.
Convey Law have a proud history of fundraising, the company recently passed the £100,000.00 milestone in support of local children’s hospice Ty-Hafan.
